AGEXPORT, jointly with the Corporate Social Responsibility Center (CentraRSE), plan to launch a training program to help businesses comply with sustainability requirements and raise their competitiveness and productivity levels.
This strategic alliance between AGEXPORT and CentraRSE will help more Guatemalan companies (mainly those with trade operations) to implement sustainable practices and comply with the highest standards required by foreign governments and multinational corporations. As part of this alliance, we plan to install a business roundtable at AGEXPORT to discuss sustainability strategies to implement in our companies, said Mrs. Connie de Paiz, AGEXPORT’s President.
The alliance established between both institutions also imply developing sustainability protocols for different exporting industries at AGEXPORT, organizing training sessions and documenting success stories, among other actions.
From its very beginning 16 years ago, CentraRSE has always helped companies to change its mentality and become conscious of their impact on their surroundings. This alliance established with AGEXPORT will help us in this goal of helping companies (and especially those that participate in global markets) to achieve international standards in different economic, social and environmental topics; said Mr. Federico Barquero, President of CentraRSE.
AGEXPORT will also offer sustainability diagnostics to all companies that request this via the INDICARSE software, which has been developed by CentraRSE with its own methodology to measure the different impacts of businesses and their gaps on sustainability topics and offer services to close these gaps.
With this alliance, we will also be able to expand our reach on our specialized advisory services offered to small and medium companies in Guatemala and help companies comply with national and international regulations, said Mrs. Claudia de Del Águila, Competitiveness Manager at AGEXPORT.
