MANUFEXPORT implemented a virtual platform for retail companies in Guatemala to promote exports and identify new business opportunities

As much as 80% of the manufacturing sector in Guatemala corresponds to small and medium companies. To contribute to a fast economic recovery following the current crisis, Manufexport 2020 shifted to a virtual version, where we will have a participation of 150 small and medium companies of Guatemala and the rest of Central America. All companies will hold at least 10 business meetings for three months with the 220 buyers of the United States, Central America, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and other countries that will be attending this online event. We estimate a total of more than 2,000 business meeting during this edition of MANUFEXPORT; said Mr. Francisco Menéndez, president of MANUFEXPORT’s Organizing Committee.

For a total of three months, from July 1st to October 31st, 2020, AGEXPORT will use its “Connecting Best Markets” platform to join Central American exporting companies with buyers worldwide and be able to display their different manufacturing products and showcase advertisements. During the event, companies will be able to hold one-to-one meetings with potential buyers as well as have access to an entire database of buyers worldwide interested in Guatemalan and Central American manufacturing products.

Small and medium Guatemalan companies (and of the rest of Central America) interested in participating on MANUFEXPORT 2020 please write an email to ruth.estrada@agexport.org.gt
