Guatemalan handmade products will enter the e-commerce wave
AGEXPORT’s Handmade Products Commission is preparing its members to participate on international markets with unique Guatemalan products through e-commerce tools as well as participation on world-class fairs in cities like New York.
On 2019, we expect to continue consolidating the recognition and popularity of Guatemalan handmade products and strengthen the entire value-chain that includes artisans, designers, businessmen and exporters. We want to transform this industry by meeting the demand of fashionistas and clients around the world that appreciate the cultural values of our handcrafts. We will also display all our products on important events such as the 12th edition of New World Crafts, which will take place in September 2019 at Casa Santo Domingo Hotel in Antigua Guatemala; said Mrs. Monica Diaz, coordinator of AGEXPORT’s Handmade Products Commission.
The Commission will also offer a series of training sessions for its members in order to strengthen their capabilities and provide them with new competitiveness tools. It will also promote participation on international fairs to display unique products around the world.
