Fruit exporters learned about food safety and agriculture best-practices
AGEXPORT’s Fruits Commission organized on May 25th, 2018 a training workshop on food safety regulations for fresh agriculture products with support from the Agriculture and Environment Protection Program (PIPAA, for its acronym in Spanish) and the Produce Safety Alliance.
More than 60 producers and professionals related with agriculture from all over the country participated at the workshop and learned about agriculture best practices and different regulations established on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) issued by United States authorities.
The workshop also trained participants on audits made by the US Food and Drug Administration and how can companies best prepare for those audits.
The Fruits Commission of AGEXPORT plan to continue organizing workshops on key topics to expand the knowledge of its member companies with help from strategic partners.
