AGRITRADE calls all producers and exporters of fruits, vegetables and ornamentals to expand and diversify their exports worldwide

For 32 consecutive years, Guatemalan agriculture and agribusiness companies have gained strong recognition in the US market with their continuous participation at PMA Fresh Summit, the most important international convention of fresh fruit and vegetables, processed food and ornamentals of the United States.

PMA Fresh Summit is by far the largest event of its kind in the US. This has been the main gateway for small and medium agriculture companies to sell fruits, vegetables and ornamentals to the United States. This year, we count with the financial support of the European Union’s “More Competitive Cooperatives and SMEs” program, to help small agriculture firms to join us at our “Beyond Expectations” pavilion; said Mr. Estuardo Castro, president of AGRITRADE.

PMA Fresh Summit will take place on October 17-19, 2019 in Anaheim, California, United States. Each year, Guatemala grows its presence at the event. In 2012, the country had a 56 sq. mt. stand. Yet, due to the increasing demand and need to display a wider offer of Guatemalan agriculture products, this year Guatemala will showcase a 100 sq. mt. pavilion, where more than 50 varieties of fresh and processed Guatemalan products will be in display.

According to Mr. Castro, Guatemala has important trade opportunities in the United States, mainly with products like mangoes, tropical fruits, rambutan, bananas, blackberries, string beans, plantains, snow peas, processed and frozen products, carrots, flowers and ornamentals, among others.

We call all agribusiness companies in Guatemala to join us and not miss this great opportunity. PMA Fresh Summit is the ideal place to build important trade relations in this key market. More than 21,000 participants from North America, Europe and Latin America will attend the Summit, 76% of them being key decision-makers; said Mr. Castro.

The companies that become part of the Guatemalan delegation will have the opportunity of learning about:

*New trends in the US market

*Identifying new business opportunities

* Get in touch with potential buyers

*Carry out benchmarks with other countries

By becoming part of Guatemala’s Beyond Expectations pavilion at this important event, we have the opportunity to display Guatemala as an exporting country, that fulfills the highest standards in quality, food safety, competitiveness and corporate social responsibility; said Mr. Estuardo Castro.
