AGEXPORT receives the vice-presidency of the Central American Federation of Export Chambers (FECAEXCA)

The Federation of Central American Export Chambers (FECAEXCA, for its acronym Spanish) elected its new directory board, where AGEXPORT assumed as vice-president. This new directory board plans to focus on improving Central American competitiveness, organize joint trade promotion fairs and exhibitions, expand regionally to Asia and the Middle East, among other topics.

FECAEXCA met in Panama City to analyze the development and challenges of trade operations in the region as part of its Annual Meeting.

Presidents and CEOs of Central American trade institutions, including COEXPORT of El Salvador, CADEXCO of Costa Rica, APEX of Panama, ADOEXPO of the Dominican Republic, participated at FECAEXCA’s Annual Meeting where challenges and opportunities of trade operations in Central America were analyzed thoroughly. The event also included the Exporter of the Year award in Panama. Participants of the event also included Panamanian president Laurentino Cortizo and his Executive Cabinet.

During this annual meeting, attendees analyzed actions to be implemented regionally to increase integration, raise competitiveness and take advantage of opportunities in world markets.

Additionally, FECAEXCA appointed its new Directory Board for 2019-2021, which include Mr. Guillermo Jacoby of Nicaragua as President and Mrs. Connie de Paiz of Guatemala as Vice-President, who was represented at the event by Mr. Carlos Gabriel Biguria, member of AGEXPORT’s Directory Board.
