In the last years, The Emirate market has become a very interesting business proposal for Latin American companies, because it is a country with very low food production and depends on imports of agricultural products, aquaculture, and fishing to meet the demand of its population. To this end, AGEXPORT’s Aquaculture and Fisheries Sector Office has initiated efforts to explore this business opportunity for its industries.
To achieve the objective, Last Wednesday, February 8, 2023, AGEXPORT staff held a meeting at its facilities with the Embassy of Guatemala in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in order to lay the foundations to create a business platform for Guatemalan producers who wish to export to the UAE. During the meeting, the Embassy stated that it will provide all the support to facilitate the opening of this market.
The AGEXPORT’s Aquaculture and Fisheries sector office will continue promoting activities for the products so that Guatemalan aquaculture and fishing products can position themselves in international markets.
