AGEXPORT’s Committee for Differentiated Coffees, with the support of the project “MiPymes and Cooperatives + Competitive (MCC+)” financed by the European Union, organized the 2nd edition of Coffee Trade, the most important event of its kind as well in the Central American region, for roasted coffee businesses.
During the event the auction of differentiated, roasted and packaged coffees happened, from 20 companies and associations and organizations that came from the departments of Huehuetenango Chiquimula, Guatemala, Sacatepéquez, Alta Verapaz and Fraijanes.
The focus of this Auction was the coffee industry, companies that are in the entire value chain participated, from coffee preparation producers to roasters, marketers and exporters.
The base price for the auction was US$10 per pound of roasted and packaged coffee and each brand of this product obtained different prices within the auction, so the minimum was US$10 and the maximum was US$50 (Real Café de Palín Escuintla and Monte Carmelo del Sur del Progreso).
In second place was the company Eco Coffee with US$27 dollars from various regions.
In its blend presentation and in third place, the Dinámica Coffee company with a blend from several coffee producers, with US$22 dollars. This place is shared with the Aldea Café company, with coffee from Santa Rosa.
The second edition of the AGEXPORT Coffee Trade was held from May 18th to 20th, 2022, parallel to the 20th. Edition of AGRITRADE Expo & Conference in Antigua Guatemala.
