With the goal that national and international corporations, as well as Guatemalan families this year, have the option of giving partners, allies, clients, collaborators and loved ones a gift that represents Guatemalan culture made with sustainable practices, the Fact Commission Hand of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters -AGEXPORT- will hold from Thursday, October 5 to Saturday, October 7, the first edition of Regalarte, the new national gift fair with export quality, at the AGEXPORT TradeCenter (15 Avenida 14-72, zone 13 ) from 9am to 6pm.
From October 5 to 7, at the AGEXPORT TradeCenter, the AGEXPORT Handmade Commission will develop, for the first time, the national gift fair focused on sustainable handmade products. The new fair, Regalarte, will be held with the purpose of offering Guatemalan families, as well as national and international companies and organizations quality products that can be used as corporate gifts for the end of year holidays.
At Regalarte, visitors will find handmade Guatemalan products with export quality, such as home and office decoration, souvenirs, promotional products, and fashion, among others. REGALARTE is a unique event in its category because it opens the opportunity to give unique gifts during these end-of-year holidays, with history, art, and social and economic impact. “Visitors will have a complete experience, so attendees will have thematic pavilions, packing station and complementary items,” mentioned Jorge Papadopolo, president of the Regalarte Organizing Committee.
There are 40 stands that will offer innovative products and business spaces, so REGALARTE joins international trends by offering sustainable products, publicizing the five best success stories in the handmade sector under the vision of sustainability with the support of the Program AL INVEST VERDE, financed by the European Union. You will also find a pavilion of collections of artisanal products and honey from artisans from the dry corridor of the country with the support of the PRO-RESILIENCE Project, in alliance with the World Food Program supported by the European Union, and a collection of artisanal products in the framework of the Women’s Economic Empowerment component of the Tejiendo Paz Project, financed by USAID Guatemala. REGALARTE will have the presence and support of VISANET Guatemala, so that visitors can have the best shopping experience.
As reported María Pacheco, vice president of the Board of Directors of the AGEXPORT Handmade Commission, Regalarte’s credo will focus on the following fundamental topics: artisanal heritage, natural materials and fibers, fair prices, good practices, recycling, environmental awareness, awareness, and education, thus promoting a culture of responsible production and purchasing of special, trendy, and high-quality products for Guatemalans.
Visitors will find home decoration products such as handmade baskets, candles, aromatics, vases, items derived from wood and leather, centerpieces, placemats, napkin rings, cups, cushions, hammocks, lamps, and Christmas decorations. There will also be a diversity of fashion products: clothing, necklaces, bracelets and leather bags, natural and blanket fibers, among others.
Buying sustainable products as gifts is not only a loving gesture to the person who will receive the gift, but also a commitment to the planet. By choosing products that have been manufactured in an ethical and environmentally friendly manner, we are contributing to the preservation of our natural resources and the well-being of future generations; More than 80% of MSMEs in the handmade sector are led by women and REGALARTE will be a demonstration of the creativity and innovation of the sector. Each sustainable gift is an opportunity to inspire positive change in our consumer practices and promote a more conscious and responsible lifestyle,” said Pacheco.
In these end-of-year holidays, support buying at REGALARTE and let’s jointly promote ours.
