Fresh Guatemalan products are presented for the first time in Madrid, Spain

With the participation of businessmen and producers from the Fruit Commission and the Vegetable Committee, both from AGEXPORT, the delicious and colorful fruits and vegetables of Guatemala are presented for the first time at the Fruit Attraction fair, the world epicenter of the commercialization of fresh products, which takes place in Madrid, Spain, from Tuesday, October 3 to Thursday, October 5.

With the purpose of seeking business opportunities and promoting exports, the Guatemala pavilion participates with an offer of fresh products in the Fruit Attraction, a benchmark in the international trade of fruits and vegetables attended by 669 international buyers from 65 countries, thus making it the world epicenter of the commercialization of fresh products of high quality, innovation, and freshness. This event takes place from October 3 to 5, in Madrid, Spain.

“For the first time, our country participates in this significant event. The Guatemala pavilion is made up of the companies of Frutas Tropicales de Guatemala, S.A. -Frutesa-, UNISPICE, GRUPO HAME and the Pea and Vegetable Committee of AGEXPORT, together they are exhibiting around 30 products, including fruits and vegetables, all of high quality that will surely impact the attention of international buyers, professionals, exhibitors, among others. others, for their quality, flavor, and color,” mentioned Luis Teo, President of the AGRITRADE Organizing Committee.

According to the president of the AGRITRADE Organizing Committee, Guatemala will present to the nearly 90 thousand participants a varied and innovative offer, including bananas, green plantains, small carrots, Brussels sprouts, yellow green beans, small vegetables, mini vegetables, avocado, rambutan, among others.

This is an important opportunity for the country, since it is competing alongside leaders such as Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica, Brazil, South Africa, Uruguay, Panama, Chile, etc.
