In order to promote trade between national manufacturers of Guatemala and San Juan Sacatepéquez and buyers from Quetzaltenango and its surroundings, the Commission of Furniture, Wood and its Products -COFAMA- of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters -AGEXPORT- returns to Quetzaltenango to hold a new edition of EXPOMUEBLE, with the largest offer of furniture for all environments, as well as trendy decoration items. This edition will take place in Gran Karmel, from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8.
As a way to boost sales of furniture and wooden products in the western market of the Republic of Guatemala and thus promote the economic and social development of the country, COFAMA of AGEXPORT will develop, from October 6 to 8, EXPOMUEBLE Xela 2023 in Great Karmel.
“In one place, at EXPOMUEBLE Xela 2023, a wide variety of quality furniture. We are aware of the demand for furniture and products of wood. We are aware of the projects that are being carried out, currently, in the west of the country, such as: apartments and condominiums, which will need resistant, comfortable and modern furniture. These may find them in Gran Karmel, from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8,” mentioned Rosa María Monzón, COFAMA Coordinator of AGEXPORT.

The commercial platform will have the participation of more than 20 exhibitors, who will exhibit their innovative and quality products, including two Xela exhibitors, one for office furniture and one for home furniture. HE It is expected that approximately 3 thousand visitors will attend the event. Understanding that EXPOMUEBLE promotes innovative products, buyers will be present wholesalers, project developers and furniture distributors. Without a doubt, it will be a great opportunity for national businessmen, indicated Monzón.
“We are excited to be close to the event date. We are sure that the Entrepreneurs will have a very good opportunity to position their products. We have the expectation that entrepreneurs will sell, in value, Q500 thousand during EXPOMUEBLE Xela 2023. In addition, another Q500 thousand in sales are expected after the event,” said Monzón.

EXPOMUEBLE XELA 2023, is aimed at the general public in the departments of Quetzaltenango, Retalhuleu, Huehuetenango, San Marcos, Totonicapán, Sololá, Suchitepéquez and Quiché, as well as professionals in architecture and interior design. During the exhibitions, visitors will be able to find multiple pieces of furniture for office and home spaces.
“We are going to present a wide variety of furniture, we know the taste for wood that is a trend in the region, but we also know that in Xela There are also new apartment and condominium projects that seek furniture for smaller and more modern environments so we have sent participate as exhibitors to companies that have different types of furniture and of different prices,” concluded Rosa María Monzón, COFAMA Coordinator of AGEXPORT.
