Manufexport: Guatemalan SMEs ready to supply US, European, Caribbean and Central American retail stores
The 9th edition of AGEXPORT’s event MANUFEXPORT will display on more than 2,000 sq. mts. (21,527 sq. ft) Central American retail products from more than 100 companies, including beverages, cereals, confectionery, cosmetics, personal care, spices, cookies, plastics, sauces, dressings and snacks. MANUFEXPORT is the only regional event of its kind, focused on manufactured retail products.
AGEXPORT seeks to help small and medium companies to enter international markets. With this in mind, the ninth edition of MANUFEXPORT focusses mainly on small and medium enterprises. This type of companies will represent 25% of the total expositors of the event and will have a special stand thanks to the support of the European Union and USAID’s Creating Economic Opportunities program, said Mr. Francisco Menendez, president of MANUFEXPORT.
All 25 national and Central American SMEs that will participate in MANUFEXPORT 2018 already fulfill all trade requirements, including labelling regulations, being registered as exporters and complying with international sanitary and packaging regulations.
This important fair will take place on September 26 and 27, 2018 at Casa Santo Domingo Hotel in Antigua Guatemala.
Through AGEXPORT’s digital platform “Connecting Best Markets” we were able to link our retail supply with more than 150 clients including supermarkets, convenience stores, importers, brokers and distributors on countries like the United States, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Chile, among others. Companies at this event will have the opportunity to sell their products at more than 1.2 million points of sale globally, remarked Mr. Menendez.
Out of the 150 international buyers attending the event, 75% are new clients, which include: Grupo Ramos (Dominican Republic), Distribuidora La Cosecha (United States), Al Super (Mexico), Super Selectos (El Salvador), Multicongelados (El Salvador), among others.
