Innovative entrepreneurships in San Marcos supported by the MCC+ project
AGEXPORT, through its “More Competitive Cooperatives and SMEs” project supported by the European Union, organized an Innovation Congress in San Marcos on November 13th, 2018.
More than 130 small companies and entrepreneurs attended the event, which focused on promoting innovation by sharing success stories and testimonies of businesses started by young Guatemalans.
With this event, AGEXPORT seeks to motivate the creation of new entrepreneurships that generate employment opportunities in San Marcos and surrounding areas, improve the quality of life of the population and reduce illegal immigration to other countries.
Some of the success stories shared included Mr. Ivan Castro, renown Guatemalan photographer; Mr. Rony Estrada, CEO of the food company Terranova; the Tajumulco artisan beer, Evolution Fit, among others.
* The More Competitive Cooperatives and SMEs project promotes innovative entrepreneurships, mainly those started by women and young Guatemalan leaders.
