Guatemalan exporting companies expressed their gratitude to medical personnel
AGEXPORT’s Health and Wellness Tourism Commission joined the movement “Exporters United for Guatemala” and organized a special campaign to gather “thank-you kits” for medical doctors, nurses, and medical personnel at the Villa Nueva Hospital.
At the Health and Wellness Tourism Commission of AGEXPORT, we started a small act of empathy and solidarity to support and thank our medical personnel. We hope to give a small breath to our doctors on these strenuous times and cooperate to provide supplies to the Villa Nueva Hospital, which include 1,000 surgery robes, which were donated by our member company JS International. We also provided other supplies, including face masks, surgical caps and protective gear donated by members of our commission; said Dr. Adrian Alvarado, president of AGEXPORT’s Health and Wellness Tourism Commission.
Companies that participated on this campaign #FuerzaGuate included: Chocolates Granada, Alimentos SA, Atkinson’s Candy Company, Alimentos Ya Esta, Panifresh, DB Schenker, Kyrios Dental Center, San Lucas Dental Center and JS International. With this, AGEXPORT was able to deliver more than 2,500 products and 410 smiles to all workers of the Villa Nueva Hospital.
For this campaign, apart from our member companies, we also wanted to expand the people involved and included sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, grandsons, and granddaughters of workers of companies like Panifresh and JS International, which contributed with creative messages of hope, gratitude and joy for medical personnel of the hospital. This not only brings joy to hospital workers but also teaches important values like solidarity to younglings, which is key for us at AGEXPORT; said Mrs. Connie de Paiz, AGEXPORT’s President.
AGEXPORT delivered the “thank-you kits” on July 23rd, 2020 at the Villa Nueva Hospital.
