A total of 9,456 women are currently involved in these groups of small businesses, located in departments like Alta Verapaz, Quiche, Huehuetenango, Izabal and Baja Verapaz.

To this date, these groups produce different goods, including compost and organic fertilizers, snacks, vegetables, textiles, bird vaccines, ornamentals, jellies, mushrooms, chicken, food for animals, shampoo, chocolate and honey, among others. They also operate small businesses, including grocery stores and small restaurants. As a result, these women entrepreneurs have been able to register sales for more than US$820,000.
