Spain, Chile and Canada interested on Guatemalan fruits and vegetables

AGEXPORT’s Business Intelligence Unit confirmed the attendance of international buyers from Spain, Chile, Canada and England to the international event AGRITRADE which will take place in 2019.

Some of the agriculture products with larger international demand are: avocados, mangoes, limes, plantains, bananas, snow peas, papayas, mini carrots, melons, strawberries, green beans, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and cherries, among others. We call all Guatemalan exporters of fruits and vegetables to participate at our main event AGRITRADE Expo & Conference 2019, the most important fair of its type in Central America, said Mr. Estuardo Castro, president of the AGRITRADE organizing committee.

Key international supermarkets have already confirmed their presence at AGRITRADE. Among them: Cencosud, Sigfrido, HLB Specialties and Morrison Lamothe.

The countries that demand Guatemalan fruits and vegetables are:

Spain: avocados, papaya, mango and pineapples.

Chile: avocado, apples, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, melons, cherries, tangerine, medlars, mangoes, papayas, pomegranate, peaches, pears, limes, pineapples, pitayas, plantains, plums, raspberries, strawberries, watermelons and asparagus.

Canada: avocados, mangoes, papayas, limes, pitayas and rambutan.

England: apples, avocados, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, mangoes, pomegranate, pears, limes, pineapples, plantains, rambutan, raspberries, strawberries, asparagus, mini carrots, mini green beans, beans, broccolis, chili peppers, mushrooms, okra, potatoes, snow peas, pumpkin, sweet potatoes.

Each day, the demand for “ready-to-eat” products grows faster, which is why AGRITRADE 2019 will be an excellent opportunity for exporting companies to promote their agriculture products at the most important event in Latin America.

The 19th edition of AGRITRADE will take place at Santo Domingo El Cerro in Antigua Guatemala on March, 2019. It will display 180 stands with Guatemalan, Central American and Latin American companies exhibiting their agriculture products to more than 3,500 visitors and 150 international buyers and other stakeholders from North and South America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.
