Germany is the fourth largest economy in the world and the top economy in Europe. The country shows high levels of innovation and focuses on exports. Because of this, AGEXPORT’s Market Development & Trade Promotion department organized a trade mission to Frankfurt, Germany. This mission will take place on November 5-9, 2018 with support from the European Union’s Al-Invest 5.0 program.
During our trade mission to Frankfurt, participants will have the opportunity to meet potential buyers in Germany as we have planned a tailor-made agenda of business meetings and meetings with government authorities. We also planned site-visits to important supermarkets to give a better market perspective to our Guatemalan businessmen, said Mr. Byron Lemus, market coordinator for South America and Germany.
Along key trends identified on German consumers, 55% of the market is open to try new products and 29% opt to purchase known brands, offering opportunities for Guatemalan exports.
