For more than 17 years, the United Buddy Bears expo has visited more than 29 countries in the world, with a message of tolerance and peaceful living. It carries strong message: “we need to know each other better, to understand each other better, have more trust in one another and therefore live better”.
For the first time, the United Buddy Bears world tour reaches Guatemala thanks to the efforts of the German Embassy in Guatemala. We are extremely happy to have the support of Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala’s municipalities as well as the commitment of different sponsors that made possible the visit of the United Buddy Bears to the country. We know that the message of tolerance and peace that this expo brings is very important for Guatemala and the Central American region, said Mr. Harald Klein, German Ambassador in Guatemala.
The United Buddy Bears exhibition in Guatemala is sponsored by 16 organizations committed with the development and wellness of the country; among them: AGEXPORT, Cerveceria Centro Americana, Cementos Progreso, CBC, Corporacion Multinversiones, Tigo, AZASGUA, Banrural, Hotel Hyatt Centric, Porta Hotel Antigua, Secaco, Audi, Lufthansa, Antigua Viva, San Martin and Ferreterias Lewonski.
The exhibition displays more than 140 bears that represent tolerance and harmony. It will be hosted by Antigua Guatemala from April 25 to May 12; while Guatemala City will have it from May 17 to June 2nd. It will be open to the public free-of-charge in both locations.
It will be the first time that United Buddy Bears will reach the Central American region, with a message of friendship, respect and tolerance.
From May 17th, United Buddy Birds will be present at the Constitutional Plaza in Guatemala City, joining the local cultural festival at Paseo La Sexta, organized by the Guatemala City’s Municipality.
