AGEXPORT’s Mango committee, with support from the European Union’s “More Competitive Cooperatives and SMEs” program started a training program in Zacapa on October 5, 2018 to increase productivity of mango fields and increase export-quality production of this product.

During the training session we helped more than 70 mango producers in the Eastern region, where participants learned techniques to improve the mango flowering process, given by Dr. Gilberto Nogueira, Brazilian expert in this field.

The activity took place at the headquarters of Amadeo Export, S.A., where the guest speaker shared technical guidance for a proper handling of mango flowering, followed by a networking space where participants had the opportunity to share with Dr. Nogueira.

AGEXPORT’s Mango committee plans to continue developing programs that benefit exporting firms, thanks to the support from the European Union and its program “More Competitive Cooperatives and SMEs”.
